Theta Frequency

Right after you wake up, your brain switches from delta wave (deep sleep) to a frequency known as “theta.” We learned the theta brainwave frequency is associated with making memories, creativity, meditation, internal focus, intuition, daydreaming, and hypnosis. What does this have to do with healing?

You can access this theta state right after you wake up and as you are starting to fall asleep. These are the best times of the day to repeat and listen to affirmations with the intent of reprogramming your subconscious mind for healing results. The power of affirmations as it relates to healing cannot be discounted. Affirmations connect the mind to the body in ways that have not been focused on for far too long in medicine. Think it’s crazy? Just give it 30 days. Then tell me it didn’t work, I dare ya.

Here are some healing affirmations you can use as a starting point. Print and put them on your nightstand or tape them on your bathroom mirror so you can say them right after you wake up and before you fall asleep each day. Add or change the affirmations on this list and make it your own:

  • I am thriving in my healing journey.
  • I see that my immune system is optimal, strong, and healthy.
  • I am grateful for my body, mind, and spirit.
  • I know inflammation in my body is reducing each day.
  • I feel healthy and pain-free.
  • The food and water I consume nourishes and heals my DNA and every cell in my body.
  • I love my body.
  • I am strong.
  • I do what I need to do to heal.
  • I design my own reality.
  • I know I am in charge of my thoughts, and I have unlimited potential.
  • I declare today that I am healed from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.
  • Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better.
